I have got an Access data base that has approximately 10 tables with 32000 entries, and a few queries. I've spent a while getting this database and it's queries to work, and on closing the data base, I saw that the file size was 816,912 kB!?!?

This is pretty massive, I was wondering what could be causing this, and how it would be possible to reduce the file size?

If you done a lot of design work, thrown out and rebuilt forms, reports and tables, your database is in need of some maintenance; specifically, Compact & Repair.
In 2003 and earlier it's in Tools > Database Utilities.
In 2007, click the colourful button, then Manage.
In 2010 I think it's just part of the Backstage view (File menu).

It's a good idea to compact & repair regularly (once a week would be typical), to remove the 'holes' that appear when you delete objects in the database, and just do some general housekeeping.
