I have a report that includes several dates of submittals and dates for follow-ups. I need access to alert me of the follow-up date by email or when I open the file or with a pop up message.

Note: please explain this like you would to a 6 year old. I will not be offended. Thanks a whole lot.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
What you are asking for is a little bit beyond "a little help" In fact, it is quite a bit more than just a "little" help. I'm afraid, unless someone really wants to invest a lot of time, that you will need to hire someone to do what you need.

Sorry.

Not sure if your report is an access report or a table in access. If you want an alert to pop-up when you open the database, there are a couple ways you can do it.

If the report is already set-up...
1. Create a macro using the Action -> OpenReport.
2. Save the macro as "autoexec".
When you open access it will execute the macro on start-up and open the report.

If the report is a table in access...
1. Build a query to show the items you want shown.
2. With the query you can then create a report or form or just use the query.
3. If you have a form you can include it in the Startup otherwise create a macro and use the Action -> OpenQuery, OpenReport or OpenForm.
4. Save the macro as "autoexec".
