I have a file that uses vlookups. You can select a company from a drop downlist and it will populate a formatted table with standardized financial data. This is accomplished by vlookup. The vlookup links to another excel SS that I don't have, and is the source of the data. Instead of using the drop down to select company by company, is there a way to pull all this raw data from the linked excel file? Obviously, excel stores these values in my sheet with the vlookup, but where? Is it possible to access them other than through the interface?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I am not exactly sure how the links between spread sheets works, but I am fairly certain that it does not store all possible values (ie when you choose the company, the data is retrieved at that point). Anyways, short of obtaining the file you could go through the (somewhat tedious) process of Selecting each company, then copy -> paste special into a new spreadsheet.

Perhaps I am wrong and all of the data sits inside the sheet. If so I have no idea how to extract it.
