Access to protected workbook

Excel allows you to create a password to protect a workbook, which I have set right now. However, the business wants us to change the password frequently. Instead od doing this, is there a way to use our individual ID's and passwords to access the workbook since our passwords expire every 90 days and have to change anyway?
