I am new to Ecel 2010 having used v2003 until now.

I am having trouble with getting number to display correctly using the Accounting format. The display of the leading digit is truncated (partially) ... If I set the format to Accounting, the view is correct, but when I scroll the display off of that area and back, the display problem reappears.

I first noticed the problem with old worksheets brought in, but the problem is there with a brand new workbook as well.

Anybody have any thoughts on this one?

The currency format works but I do not like seeing all those zeros.

I am answering my own post here....

I have narrowed the problem down to something to do with the Windows 7 Aero theme.

When I use the windows classic or Windows 7 basic display themes, he problem goes away.

I am not sure what this is about, but it is a hassle to have to change themes to use Excel. (Not that I am necessarily stuck on that... I miss all of the keyboard access to menus too)
