Activate macro when a specific cell is clicked?

Is there a way of running a macro when a particular cell in a worksheet is clicked and if so how?

In other words, if cell A1 is clicked, macro01 runs; if cell A2 is clicked macro02 runs; and if cell A3 is clicked macro03 runs.

I could add buttons that would activate the macros but I’d like to avoid going down this route for aesthetic reasons.
