Activate Macros in a Shared Excel file

Hi guys,

I wonder if it's possible to activate VBA in a shared excel file. There's no a 'Macros' button under the 'View' tab.
Currently, I am only able to see the button of "Record Action" under 'Automate' which opens a screen for writing a script (I'm not familiarized to this and I don't know how it works), but is there the possibility to change the file from xslx to xlsm so I can add a Macro? If not, do you have any other solution?

Go to file/Save As/ then select .xlsm under the the save as type..

Imagine a scenario that more than one person is using the workbook at the same time. That is why it is not really meant for shared workbook.

VBA does not work with Office Online.

I have no idea on Excel 365, but as @Fluff said no VBA for online Office. I've never done shared document myself too
