Activate Workbook on Mac Excel 2011

I have a code that runs well in Windows XL2013, but is stalling on Mac when trying to activate another open workbook.

Specifically the line in question at which the code stalls is:

Workbooks("FGL Master Workbook II").Worksheets("Manifest").Activate

I realize Mac Excel users are far and few between around here, but has anyone encountered this that can guide me on how Mac Excel activates an already open file?

I solved this one by simply staring at the toolbar on my Mac....by adding the file extension, .xlsm, to the workbook name, the code resumed running normally. On to the next Mac challenge!
