Hi All,

In my worksheet

Column A : Qty Change
Column B : Rank of Qty Change using RANK function
Column C : Ranking which I need.

How can I get the rank in column C?

Is it possible by using any formula?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi,

I found a similar question that had an answer. I'm not sure of the correct way to link to the other thread, but here is the formula that seems to do what you're asking:

Code:
 =SUM(--ISNUMBER(MATCH(ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&RANK(A2,A$2:A$13))),RANK(A$2:A$13,A$2:A$13),0)))

It must be confirmed with CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER instead of just ENTER

I can't take much credit for this (if it works for you) as I just happened to be looking for something similar and found this answer.

Here's the link to the thread that I found: RANK - Non unique values, contiguous rank required

Post #4 is the one that gives this solution.

Hope this works for you.

Regards,
Scott
