add a line break in a formula - mac excel 2011

I've been using the char(10) in my formulas and haven't had any problems while on a PC, now that I've just tried this on a mac it seems to not be working. I'm using the same spreadsheet that I was using on the PC, I've double checked and I do have "Wrap Text" checked. What am I missing?

I typed to soon. Apparently char(13) works as a line break with Mac Office, but not in the PC version and char(10) works in the PC version but not the Mac version. Any suggestions for cross platform compatibility?
