I need to add forward slash '\' as the first character in all cells...
Eg: if the text is Mr. Excel, i need to change it to \Mr. Excel

I am trying to use find and replace,, but its very tedious..
Please let me know if there is an easier way.

Thanks a lot

Hi, welcome to the board!

Here is a small macro that should do what you want (this examples uses Column A:

Code:
Sub slasher()
Dim x As Long
For x = 1 To Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row
If Left(Cells(x, 1), 1) <> "\" Then Cells(x, 1) = "\" & Cells(x, 1)
Next x
End Sub
