Hello all,

I got this excel workbook (dashboard) that is linked to an workbook that is password protected.
Each time I open the dashboard i have to enter the password of the linked workbook that is password protected.

Is there a way to stop this?
Can i add the password in some VBA code or something that i don't have to enter the password each time i open the dashboard?

I use =sumproduct to get that from the protected workbook.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
It sounds like your DASHBOARD workbook is dependent upon data located in the 2nd workbook. So ... it is asking for that second password as well upon opening.

You could review the code in the DASHBOARD workbook and edit the line/s of code that ask for the password. Realistically, how soon after opening the DASHBOARD
workbook would you be needing to access the second workbook ?

Well, there are alot of lines that ask for that

=SUMPRODUCT(('\\nltilnetapsnas1\PUBLIC\Production Support\[Registratie review.xlsx]2016-2022'!$H:$H>=B3)*('\\nltilnetapsnas1\PUBLIC\Production Support\[Registratie review.xlsx]2016-2022'!$H:$H<=EOMONTH(B3;0)))

Is one of them

Well, the data needs to up to date when i open the dashboard

It doesn't need to update all data tho, it contains the years 2018 - 2022.
The data for 2018 doesn't change, only for the current month in 2022

But first things first, i don't want to add the password each time i open the dashboard.
Simple solution; remove password from data file.
But i hope there is an better solution
