Add to a cell's value

I have a row that is identified by a procedure and I want to add some text to the beginning of the first cell in the row from the left. What is the vba I could do this with?

Assuming that your procedure identifies the row of interest as a range object, try something like below, where rng refers to your range object

rng(1).Value = "new  text " & rng(1).Value
