I have in cell A1 5000
and in cell B1 50

the original figure is 5000,50

Does anyone know a formula in cell C1 that will add cell A1+cell B1 and place the comma as indicated.

I tried Concatenate but it gives 500050 and disregards the comma.
Any ideas?

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Can you use:

=A1&","&B1

Or this works for me with concatenate:

=CONCATENATE(A1,",",B1)

Hope that helps.

If you want the result to behave as a number try

=(A1&","&B1)+0

and your santity buddy, concatenate would work but with

=CONCATENATE(A1,",",A2)

or

=CONCATENATE(A1,CHAR(34),A2)

I prefer the latter as I find it easier to make sense of at a glance.
