Can you add a button to the toolbar which will run a macro when clicked, but the button stays on the toolbar permanently- ie. when you are working on multiple workbooks, or even books received and opened from someone elses machine who does not have the button, the button will be there ready to be clicked!

Cheers, Steve

Yes this can be done, i've done it!

You record/write your macro into your personal Macro Workbook,an option on the record macro drop down box. Then your macro will work in all open workbooks.

To create the button do Tools/macros and select the custom button and drag it onto one of your toolbars. Click Modify selection and attach the macro. You can also change the button image with the "edit button Image" option.
