I have just designed a report on Excel 2003 for work and want to ensure that it states on it somewhere that I created it (it would be nice to get the credit for it after all!).

Other people would be modifying it and viewing it but is there some way I can ensure that it says like made by me or something?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Put your name/message all over it, but expect if people want they will remove it..

Such as dedicated sheet with notes about you created it at some time & to refer to you - give contact info - if changes are required. Put your name in the footer or header for that page. Put your name in a defined range with a simple message about being the creator: same thing in a hidden name. Put a message in the file's properties: easy via Explorer, right click to file properties. Write a comment in the VBA. Have a msgbox on file open or closure. Or in the status bar. Whatever floats your boat.

Fazza just give you a lot of options, i usually inster Header and Footer and protect the worksheet and i do tons of excel reports. i dont like puting VBA since (at least in 07) you need habilitate the excel macro through the file properties.

In my experience very few people will notice the name in the properties: which is a good thing as it means it may not be readily deleted.

That's what I'm hoping... It's just so I know if someone tries to claim it, my name is on there somewhere as well as my protection lol
