I have a column with a bunch of 9 digit numbers (e.g. 05-456-3432) I need to remove the dashes but when I do excel automatically removes the zero in the front of my nine digit number. Is there a way to add a ' to the begining of each cell without actually having to type a ' over and over. Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
You can establish the range of cells that you need to do this in, then for each cell in that range,

cell.value = "'" & cell.value

... that should add a ' infront of each phone number.

Good luck!
