I have a populated spreadsheet and i want to add additional information infront of the current information to each cell. I.e each cell has a variety of colours...bronze, chrome, silver etc and i need to add the phrase 'Colour:' before each entry.
I would normally do find & replace to add this information however almost each cell contains different information so it would takes ages. Is there any way of doing a generic find & replace (by using *, ?, "" for example) to put the information before every single cell in the selection?
Would aprpeciate any help you can give me.

Are you adding the same prefix to each cell ?

If yes, try this. assuming your text is in Col A
Code:
=A1&"Colour "
and copy down.

Once you've done this, you can use Copy, Paste Special, Values, to overwrite your original data with the result from this formula.

You can use a formula like this in a spare column and then copy...paste special...values:

="Colour: "&A1
