Adding hyphen between a number.

Hi,

I need to add hyphens on two places between a 10 digit numbers.
For example:

1234567890

I need the number to be 123-456-7890

Cosmetically? Or actually in the data?

If it's just cosmetically (keep 1234567890 in the data but *show* 123-456-7890), just format the cell as special -- >social security number

To have the hyphens in the data, try:

=LEFT(A1,3)&"-"&MID(A1,4,3)&"-"&RIGHT(A1,4)
