I would like to add the month formula and the year formula in a cell. I have been tryin =(Month(w2)),(Year,(w2)) to no avail. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Don't you already have a date in W2, which you could reference directly and format as mm/yyyy?

You can add a slash like this:

=MONTH(W2)&"/"&YEAR(W2)

but it will be a text entry not a true date.
