I have a requirement to rate employees on particular criteria; and based upon that rating, add their name to a “9-Box Grid” (which looks similar to a tic-tac-toe board). I would like to automate the process by allowing the user to enter an Employee Rating (1-9), and have Excel populate the Employee Name into the appropriate Grid Box.
If each row of data contains the Employee Name (column A) and the Employee Rating (column B), is there a method to populate another cell (representing the Grid Box) with the Employee Names that meet that criteria? The user should be able to enter an Employee Rating and see the Employee Names “pop-up” in the corresponding Rating Box (1-9).
Should I simply tell my boss that it can’t be done and go home for the day?
