I am having a problem with a form for adding new records. What I have is a list of companies and I have multiple projects for each company(They are in separate tables). When I want to add a new project for a company I select the company and have an add button that brings up the form with all required fieds. I have a locked field at the top with the company number but I can't seem to get it to automatically have the company number I selected in the previous form.
I think I need to use the expression builder but I can't seem to get it to work,
Here is what I have.
=[Forms]![Frm_Main]![company_no]![com_index_no]
Frm_main = Main form
Company_no = box that I selected in previous form
com_index_no = field in column in that box that I what to appear inteh new form
