Adding new rows adjusts formulae, formula to select only first 3 of a selection

Okay my first Q, I have a data sheet which i add to weekly, where I add, say, 20 rows to the top of the worksheet to enter the new data. When I do this though, all the formulas on other sheets adjust, e.g. instead of searching P1:P96, it will search P21:P116.

Is there any way to stop this happening? Currently I use replace function, which is quite tedious.

Second Q, is there a way to select the first 3 numbers of a selection, so instead of searching P21:P116, just searching P:P with the condition of only picking up the first 3 or 5 entries? An example of my formula is:

=(SUMIFS(Rounds!W$1:W$153,Rounds!$B$1:$B$153,$A41,Rounds!$S$1:$S$153,"Home Team"))/COUNTIFS(Rounds!$B$1:$B$153,'Home Calc'!$A41,Rounds!$S$1:$S$153,"Home Team")

So this finds the number of times a home team appears in B and counts W, then averages that amount. Ideally I would like just find the last 3 entries, and divide by 3.

I realise an answer to the second Q may make Q1 irrelevant.

Any help would be great thanks :)
 

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough, :) thanks for that reply, that gets me the first three rows in the selection.

What i need is the first three selections that meet the criteria. There will be about 8-10 matches out of a possible 1000 or so, but i only need the first three. At the moment, my formula above gives me between 2-5 selections, which is not consistent, and so not really relevant to what i'm looking for. I hope i'm making some sense.

I would have had something like sumif(c1:c14,b1:14,a17,a1:a14,"home"), but this selects all 4 occurrences. Is there any way to get just the first 2? The problem i come up against is when i add new data to the top of the table, also the occurrences are not regular like this.
