Hi All

So I know on adding time formats in excel. However if I have one cell which is empty I still want to return the one cell which has the time in.

Example
A1 - 13:00 A2 - 5:00 so would equal - 18:00

However, if A2 is empty I still want it to return the A1 amount of 13:00

Wha would be the best if formula? thanks

Hi,
Normal + operation will perform the required ouput. No If statement is required.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn't. It returns the #Value message.

This could be as I have a formula for the hours as in cels next this I input the start and end time of the shift which works out how many hours each shift is. If that makes any sense

Hi, Kindly share your data using XL2BB tool. It would help to copy the data in my sheet.

Thanks,
Saurabh

does this work: =IFERROR(A1+B1,A1)

I assume the problem arises because you've got a blank in the duration cell rather than nothing.
