Hi friends,

I am searching for a formula that sums quantities based on month. for example In the month of April there are 5 entries 20,40,60,50 and 80. I want a formula that sums up all the entries of April separately and May separately. Kindly respond urgently. Thanks in advance.

(4 represents april. May = 5 etc)

My apologies, I mis-read your post and thought you wanted a COUNT rather than a sum of the numbers! My bad.

=SUM(IF(MONTH($A$1:$A$9)=4,$B$1:$B$9,0))

Try this, it is an array formula though, so you must confirm it with Ctrl + Shift + Enter, not just enter.
