I have a list of teams labeled TM1-TM9 in column B. In column A shows the place they are in and in column C their tallied points.

A B C
1 TM8 39
2 TM6 35
3 TM7 34
4 TM1 33
4 TM9 33
6 TM3 31
7 TM5 30
8 TM4 27
8 TM2 27

Now in column E, F, & G I have an open schedule where I can input the TM's that are playing each other. These TM's will be inputted in column F. What I want to happen for example I type "TM6" in cell F1 the adjacent cells left and right of B2 (cells A2 & C2) where TM6 has placed is automatically copied into E1 & G1. If I type "TM2" in F2, then the adjacent cells where TM2 has placed in column B are copied.

results

E F G
2 TM6 35
8 TM2 27
...and so on

Any help would be appreciated or any ideas on rearranging my spreadsheet are also helpful. I have already grabbed a code on the forum to sort the placement of the TM's position based on their points. So in column C I have it to where I just input the TM's scores and automatically sorts their position. Now I want to input the TM's names in a schedule and those new numbers associated with the TM are also automatically arranged accordingly.

Thanks!

Please let me know if I need to clarify.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
