Hi,

I am trying to find a way to adjust where a comment is shown when you hover over the cell. I have a size constraint for my spreadsheet and the comments are currently showing up off the edge of my screen when I hover above the far right row. I would love to have the comments appear to the left instead of to the right for a cell.

I am using excel 2003 and can write macros to change the size and location if you show the comment permanently but I have a list of 200 comments so it would clutter the screen to much to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Darren,
This will do the trick:
Code:
   Range("D1").Comment.Shape.Select
   Selection.ShapeRange.IncrementLeft -155

Mexcel, thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately when I insert that code I get an error (Method 'Select' of object 'Shape' failed). The error goes away if I put a line before saying to make the comment visible.

The problem is that I am trying to keep my comments hidden and only look at them when I hover over a cell. Using your code I can change the position of the comment when the comment is visible easy enough but the comment goes back to its original position when I hover over the cell to view it instead.

Any ideas how to change the position when hovering?

Thanks,

Darren
