Along the top, I have the numbers 1 through to 20.
On the left I have 6 cells I will be entering any of the numbers from 1-20 and I want the number I type there to copy over to the correct cell on the same row.

For example, looking at top row, I entered 3, 5, 14, 22, 30 & 44. As you can see from the first part of the table the number 3 has been entered under the header 3, the number 5 has been entered under the header 5 and so on (I've only copied a snippet of the spreadsheet over).

I want to be able to enter in the 6 numbers on the left and then have it automatically copy over to the correct cell under the correct heading. I don't know how to do this other than copying and pasting and this takes forever. Is there a way I can set something so it will automatically enter the same information under the correct heading???

I'm very new to Excel but am desperate to figure this out. I'm sure it's something easy but for me difficult to explain. I really appreciate any advice given.

Thank you

Hi

Thank you for your help. I copied the above formula in the cell H2 and tried removing the numbers on the left to the re-enter them differently. It didn't seem to do anything?

Would it be a macro I need to do?

H2 is for only one cell formula you have drag right and down the formula

or you can upload your excel file sample data any sharing site i will put formula and give to you

Oh thank you so much. I love it. Didn't think to copy it over. I'm so used to doing just the basics.

I would also like to fill the cell background yellow for those numbers. Does that mean changing the formula?

Hi

I'm not sure I understand your reply. I can make the borders appear with the same formula but I'm not sure how to make the background of the cell the yellow colour unless I actually select it afterwards. I only want the number under the heading showing the yellow background. Example: the 3, 5, 14, 22, 30 & 44 I would like the background of just those cells, yellow. I don't want to change the background colour separately.

Is there anything I can do for that?
Thank you so much again for your help
