I'm trying to set-up an advanced filter, and would like to use the "does not contain" logic that can be used in an autofilter in the criteria section... is this possible, and if so, what is the syntax?

Thanks for your help!

Hi vikkis:

Mark has already provided you a solution using the<>*p* criterion,

as a variation, you may also use the following computed criterion:

=iserror(find("p",A2,1))

see the worksheet simulation
Book1
ABCDE
1FruitFruit
2Apples<>*p*FALSE
3Bananas
4GrapesFruitFruit
5OrangesBananasBananas
6OrangesOranges
Sheet5
</SPAN>

Regards!
