Advanced filtering

If i want to filter a set of data in a range, and I want to see those data that are blank in any of the 2 fields (Field1, Filed2), my understanding is that I should do a critera range in such a way that under Field1, I place <>*, then in Field 2 one row below that of Field1 criteria, I should place <>*.

Is this correct?

How come it is not working?

Sorry, I didn't read your post carefully.

Why <> ? You'll get those in which at leat one IS NOT blank.

You want blank, so use =. You'll get those in which at leat one IS blank.

I think I already solved it. I used "<>0" for the fields that are numeric.
