advanced filters hep

Hi to all...question a have a list of customer company names...this list my have the company appear may times so i was using advanced filter to come up with a list of the names....well now i would like to see how may time that company is in appearing on the list.....how can i use advanced filter or what can be used
i am hoping that i do not have to get into sudtotals because the list is linked to many diff thinks in my work sheet and i think this will cause some issue...i hope this is clear and thanks for your help!!!!

Run Advanced Filter with the Unique records only option checked. Run a COUNTIF formula for each value Advanced Filter has created:

=COUNTIF(SourceRange,Value)
