Hello fellow Excel vba fans,
I am storing around 50 fields and there will be in excess of 2000 records. This will effectively become a searchable library. Most of the fields are different categories; setting up the advanced filters and output were relatively easy to set up.
One field/column contains transcripts. I require to be able to filter entries that contain a substring with the options "including" and "exact". The including is easy. However, if I search/filter for "head", I either get all entries with "head" as well as "ahead", "heading", "headed" etc. or I get nothing! The difference being how I enter the criteria.
Am I being particularly dim? Does anyone know how I can overcome my problem? Do I need some form of alchemy involving INSTR and MID?
All/any help will be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance,
Simon
