I need to know the formula for an after tax future value. If I invest 100 at a 10% annual return and I have to pay 20% in taxes each year for 20 years

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
If you pay 20% tax on the 10% at year end then effectively you have an 8% return, so just
=100*(1+8%)^20
= 466.1
