I have supplied a screenshot.

My database is the yellow section where customers details will be added.
Currently Row is locked so when i scroll only the yellow section moves up the screen where CUSTOMER MAKE MODEL etc etc stays where it is.
Now my isue is that the following also scroll up the screen.
BIKE CHIP TYPES BIKES THAT NEED SNIFFING DELETE CUSTOMER FROM DATABASE.

How is it possible to lock my screen etc so ONLY the yellow section scrolls thus leaving all else where it is

Thanks

Hello @ipbr21054

OK so let me undertaker what you want to do first:

You want to limit the scrolling of the worksheet window to a specific range (The yellow section) is that correct?

If yes, then you need the Developer Tab visible. If you do not have the Developer Tab visible then you need to search the Web about how to make it visible.

Once you have the Developer Tab visible, you can do the following:
A) From the Developer Tab in the Control Group click on Properties. (If all of this is unclear please review the MS-Excel interface components on the Web)
B) From the Properties Window, look for Scroll Area.
C) Set the range of the Scroll Area that you need.

You can do this for all your worksheets that you want to set up.

You can also hide all the Unused Rows and Columns, but that might add to the workbook size and have unintended consequences.

Hope this helps.

Monty
PS/NB saying something like "etc etc" is UNHELPFUL! You know your project 100% we do not! We need to form a picture of what you are trying to do and then come up with a solution. The more straightforward details and knowing the common names of items will deferentially get you superb help. Food for thought!

That is correct for what i need to do but i see the headers scroll up & then unable to bring them back into view.
Also the command buttons as mentioned above still also scroll.

I entered this range A3:H29 & it was changed to $A$3:$H$29

Something isnt right

I attach a file.
The salmon headers need to stay where they are.
The command buttons on the right also need to stay where they are.

The only part to scroll is the yellow area.

Hi again @ipbr21054
When you say:
"The salmon headers need to stay where they are."
Look into the Freeze Panes

When you say:
"I entered this range A3:H29 & it was changed to $A$3:$H$29"
This is normal! Look into Absolute Addressing vs. Relative Addressing.

When you say:
"The command buttons on the right also need to stay where they are."
I think you should look into the Split Windows button.
On the View Ribbon, in the Window Group. Watch this video for more info:

When you say:
"The only part to scroll is the yellow area."
Sometimes the initial design might not be the optimal design. I totally understand how one can start with a design and then try to make MS-Excel work with that design. I was there one day in my life, and I totally understand that not all MS-Excel users have the same experience level, or learn MS-Excel the same path as I did. Having said that I guess some design issues might be a good start.

I would suggest that you move the buttons to the top row, then make a Header Row, and then Freeze Panes to make all what you need happen in the easiest way. You can make the buttons big enough to make it easy to click, but not too big to run out of space. You can arrange the buttons the way you like, horizontally vs. vertically, possibly on multiple rows.

What do you say about that?

Monty!
PS/N.B. Many times I say "Look into..." because I am 100% a believer in the adage "Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime", and I also recognize that everyone needs some directions, so I point you in the "right" direction and they you will take the journey of discovery! I hope you understand!
