Hi,

I've tried messing with source datas number formatting to no avail?

Example SKU number:
TRT701110

Some SKU's are numbers only and some letters only.

My pivot table column will only return 0.

Frustrating thing is I'm sure Ive come across this before and solved it on a prior pivot, despite opening pivot tables that show SKU correctly I cant work it out ?.

Many Thanks
Gareth

EDIT:
I've managed to pull number format SKu's through now. I'm guessing the others don't work as there text in value area of my pivot table.

Ok I think Ive managed to do it with DAX, adding a measure after adding it to the data model. But is there a way I can add my existing formatted pivot table to data model to add this one dax/value field?

To try and get around the sort prob im getting........ Ive put SKU as Row (so supposed I dIdnt need to make the DAX) and then made a DAX for description to go in next column as value next to sku.

But then im getting a message that description has too many characters for this field?
