Hi,

This forum has greatly helped me over the years in learning and resolving Excel problems.

But this is a general question, and I am not sure if this is the right place.

I have been using Excel and VBA for a while at my workplace. The application is quite efficient and works well.
But already few rumblings regarding a change in tool and software has been started.
The current application has Lookups, Copy and Paste, importing data through File dialog and adding columns through VBA macros.
My question is which is there a best alternative (Python, Power BI...) which can mimic Excel functionalities and VBA?

The main functionalities involve import of data from few sources, formatting them and use VBA macros to do LOOKUPs and other
functionalities.

TIA

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
