Alternative to a loop?

Hello all,

I have thirteen columns, I:U. They display man-months for Jan-Dec, plus a total.

I need to insert thirteen columns to the right, and fill them up with man-hours, by multiplying the man-hours figure by the number of man-hours in each month. The number of man-hours in each man-month is held on a different sheet, in C11 to N11.

Extra info: the number of rows that need this done to them is about 4000, but this varies and needs to be detected by the macro.

Is there any way of doing this without a loop?

Come to that, if a loops the best way, I'm not to good at them either... any help much appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

How about V1 = I1*'other sheet name'!C$11?

Then, copy V1 down through row 4000 and right through column AH.

How would I do that in a macro? I am going to use the data for a pivot table later, so I would prefer to have values rather than formulae in the cells.

Thanks,
