in a previous posting, I sought the answer to

I have been working on a quite complex Excel project and have imported a user form I created in an earlier version of the same project (so sheet and Cell references are the same). It imported with no problem and I saved the file. BUT NOW WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE FILE IT REPORTS A VBA32.DLL ERROR AND TERMINATES EXCEL.

This file had been created in Excel 97 and I found that opening ti in Excel 2000 overcame the problem and then a simple save made it once again usable in 97

I hope this helps any others that encounter this problem.

Hi

Sounds like Microsoft weak try at data file recovery have worked in this verions ie E2000, XP i will say has very good recovery, but shame looses VBA and some Userforms, so guys back up and as jack does export bas files and userforms just in case.

Intresting - EY2K i never have know to be sucessful GOOD NEWS.

Often higher version will open and save back as old version cures issues, its all bits of curuption of many many things,
