Hi all,

I've recently started getting this really annoying issue which is messing up my vlookups and other things

When copying down a forumla, excel does copy the formula but the value which shows clearly isn't what is shown in the formula - if you see this image, I have simply done G1*1 and copied it down - you can clearly see the entire column is showing 9466 where it should mirror column G ... you can also see i've highlighted cell H2 clearly says G2*1 which should be 104*1 so how on earth is it showing 9466?

Any help much appreciated! It never used to do this!

Thanks

Alex

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
It sounds like you have Formulas set to Manual Calculation. What happens if you hit F9?

great, that did seem to help! the only thing is it keeps reverting and I keep needing to press F9 to get it to adjust properly - do you know how to change this permanently?
