Im wanting to use the 3 icon set of the lights and what I need is when cell W15's value is below 40% of cell U15 then I want the green circle, when it goes above 40% I want the yellow circle icon to appear and of course when it goes over then red.

Any help is appreciated.

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
I'm not sure you can use the CF Icons this way. You would need to use a CF formula to do what you're wanting, which would then limit you to Cell Fill colour or Font colour.

But I just don't follow what the rule is for red...

I have the CF icon's in cells on my sheet just with different formulas. I just havent been able to figure out the formula to use on this situation.

To use the CF Icons, the 'Rule Type' has to be 'Format all Cells based on their values'. Given that you want do a test, i.e. that "W15's value is below 40% of cell U15", then you can't use them for this (as far as I'm aware).

If you're still interested in implementing the solution metioned in my previous post, then post back.
