Guys, can anyone come up with some macro code which can throw a pop-up message even when the workbook is minimized (or if closed, then it opens it and runs macro) and while I'm busy doing some other stuff on my system?

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Hi,
im sorry but can you be more specific as to the pop up box like what is the macro doing while min? cant run something from a closed book without opening it.

Hi...Thanks for the concern.

I set a programme to run at a certain time in a workbook. It is now minimized and I'm currently doing some work. In some worst case, it is closed by mistake by me. But the reminder is necessary to show up.

Here, the pop-up is nothing but a reminder msg which I had set in the programme of the worksheet. I wanna add some code which allows this pop-up to show up even when it is closed, at least while it is minimized.

Any idea?

Hi,
A msgbox will display even if it is minimized. closed is something you cant do, however you can put in the workbook before exit sub a warning that you have closed the workbook?

simply need in both cases

msgbox("Reminder") or msgbox("You have closed workbook blah")

No, it doesn't come. Had that come, why did I pose the question itself? I tried and after your reply, I tried again - but when the workbook is minimized and you're on some other work but excel workbook, then it doesnt show up.

It shows up only when you resume the workbook from minimized to maximized.

Try.
