AppActivate Function

Hello Every Body,
I am trying to use AppActivate Function of VBA but it always produces an error number 5 that says: Invalid Procedure Call or argument

this is the code I am trying to run:

Sub WordActivate()

AppActivate "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\WINWORD.EXE", False

End SUB

Can you guys help me know where my mistake is?

As I understood it, the appactivate statement simply changed the focus to the already open specified application.

what is the meaning of focus?
sorry I am not yet expert with AppActivate Function and asking you to get an idea of how it works
