I have about 20 .txt files that I need to put together into an excel spreadsheet.

They have aproximately 5000 rows of data each.

Is there a way to make this task simpler than opening them, copy and paste data from each file?

You could use a good old fashioned DOS copy command to concatenate the files first, then open it with Excel.

20 files, 5000 lines each is 100,000 lines. Too much for one sheet. What do you want to do with the excess once you reach Excel's row limit?
