I am using Application.CurrentProject.Name in a text box in forms and reports in my database. When I use this it puts "2005 Budget.mdb" in the text box. I would like it to just put "2005 Budget" without the ".mdb" extension.

Is there a way to do this?

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Try this

Dim shortfn As String
Dim fn As String
fn = Application.CurrentProject.Name

shortfn = Right(fn, Len(fn) - InStrRev(fn, "\"))
shortfn = Left(shortfn, InStrRev(shortfn, ".", -1, 1) - 1)

Regards

Dave
