Hi everyone :)

I have used this forum many times, but never posted. So here goes :)

I have the following code for CutCopyMode:

Application.CutCopyMode = False
With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add(Connection:= _
"TEXT;\\path1\folder1\subfolder\file1.txt", Destination:=Range("$A$1"))

I would like to link the path and the file name to two different cells in Excel. How would I do that?

Regards
Thor

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Like so:
Code:
Application.CutCopyMode = False
With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add(Connection:= _
"TEXT;" & range("a1").value & "\" & range("a2") .value , Destination:=Range("$A$1"))
for example.

Hi Rory,

Thanks for the suggestion. I am getting a syntax error however with the above code. A1 is:

\\Folder\Folder2

And A2 is:

File.txt

Sorry about that - the autocomplete on my tablet doesn't understand VBA!
