Application.IgnoreRemoteRequests

In versions of Excel prior to 2016, if I added:

Application.IgnoreRemoteRequests = True

opening another Excel file via Windows Explorer would result in a new instance of Excel opening.

In Excel 2019, the other Excel via opens in the same instance of Excel.

However I have just tested this line of code in Excel 365 and the Excel instance closed without a warning.

Has anybody else experienced this? If so, why is it doing that?

I'm having the same issue in Excel 365 that you are in Excel 2019. It is behaving as expected in Excel 2016. Been looking for a solution for a couple days now... will update if I find one.
