Hi All, I need help with the below:

What I need is a formula that provides the sum of column C based on the criteria in A & B. So for ALPHA TYPE 1, I need the result to be 6.

Cheers in advance.

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Basic syntax for multiple criteria sum is

Code:
=SUMPRODUCT((Range1=Criteria1)*(Range2=Criteria2),RangeToSum)
Note, Each range reference must be of equal size, and cannot be entire column refs like A:A. You must specify Row #s like A1:A100

so for example,
Code:
=SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100="ALPHA")*(B1:B100="TYPE1"),C1:C100)

you can replace "ALPHA" and "TYPE1" with Cell references containing those values.
