Hello,

I have run into this before and found the solution, but I cannot find it now after some searching. I have an array formula and I do the usual control+shift+enter and rather than putting the result in the cell--it is showing the formula!

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Check that the formula starts with an equals sign.

Cell formatting is probably set to Text and needs to be changed.

You might check to see if the cell is formatted as text. If so make it general or a number.

Also, by any chance are you in the formula view? Well I don't really know what it is called, but toggle ctrl + ` on and off. I guess it is just called show formulas.

Activate Edit | Replace or Find & Select | Replace.
Set Find what to: =
Set Replace with to: =
Run Replace All.

Thanks so much! It was set as text...I changed it to number and it is fine. Strange because I have many other formulas set that way and they are fine!

Thanks for all your help!
