Please can someone help with the following (Excel '97' novice....

I would like to make a column going down that ascends in number by the value of one. I don't want to enter everything in by hand but I want A1 to be '1' and A2 to equal '2' and so on. Best regards.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Type 1 in A1, Type 2 in A2. selcet both cells, hover over the bottom right hand corner of A2 until the curser looks like a + sign. Click and drag downwards as far as you want the numbers to go (I'd say start off with 50 and if you need more then do the same thing again)
