ask for password on checkboxes

Hello,

I read through several post and can't seem to find a matching scenario.

I'm looking for when a user goes to "approve" a row in a sheet, that they would check a box. When they go to check the box, I want it to prompt user for a password. If correct the check mark gets applied to the box, if incorrect it stay blank. Any help would be great.

Hello, and welcome, I think I may be able to help you. Just 2 questions before I attempt to do this on my side, 1; are you placing checkboxes into a cell on each line? i.e. like embedding a checkbox into a cell? 2; I am assuming you are sending this out to people, and if they have the correct password they can change the value of the checkbox, do you need 1 password? so, if I am a manager and I open the file, look at the work that needs to be approved, tick the checkbox, enter the password, or my password?

A check box is at the end of each row ( a cell at the end and there are 86 of them on 4 different sheets). The code would have to be written so that all of the check boxes would use the same password (can this be done at the same time? Assigning the same macro to all of the check boxes?) The Manager would be the only one with the password, not the user. Hope that clears it up.
